Care Philosophy
Dr. Housley was born and raised in Idaho Falls. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Brigham Young University – Idaho, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia with honors in clinical and academic performance. He was also the recipient of the Blanchard Excellence in Contact Lens Fitting Award, and served as co-president of the Contact Lens Scholars Society. On rotations, he received additional training in treating ocular emergencies and disease at Einstein Hospital and The Eye Institute in Philadelphia.
His specialties are contact lens fitting and pediatric care. He also has a special interest in diabetic eye care. As a Type 1 Diabetic himself, he brings personal experience to his professional knowledge of eye health.
Dr. Housley is accepting all patients in Pocatello and Idaho Falls, and is a fluent Spanish speaker.

When not in the office, Dr. Housley loves spending time with his wife and daughter, playing tennis, and standing in the water while the fish completely disregard all of his efforts to catch them.
